I came to Maine the first time in 1944.  I was six months old and I came on vacation to this magical place that many call "Acadia."  It was almost thirty-five years later that I decided to come here for good. I am glad I made the choice.

I know there are many people who want to know about Downeast Maine, about Acadia National Park, and about the magical place on the earth called "Acadia".   This website will bring to everyone ideas, articles, pictures, information and adventures from this special place.

But this is more than just a vacationland information site.  As a writer, I like to explore many different ideas and many will appear here at Acadiareaders.  While I hope you find it all entertaining, I also hope to excite your curiosity, and will welcome any and all comments.  Please let me hear from you.

 February 10:  I have received an email from an Internet friend who has accused us here of exporting our potholes to the UK  Read my email response on "Acadia Cars", and see some  pictures of typical Acadia potholes!
